How to make soft & fluffy eggless scones

If you’ve ever wanted to try home made scones from scratch, you’ve come to the right place

These where so tasty

Here is what you’ll need

*5 cups all purpose flour
*5 tsp baking powder
*1 tsp baking soda
*1 tbs vanilla essence
*1 cup butter milk
*1 cup sugar
250g margarine
Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
*to a mixing bowl , add flour , sugar ,baking powder, baking soda, mix until combined

*Add margarine &use your fingers to rub into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs .( keep 1/2 cups ) for floured surface

* To another bowl Add milk & vanilla essence whisk together
*Add 1/2 raisins (fruit of your choice)

*Add the milk mixture to flour , use your hands to bring it together (Don’t over mix)

*place dough on lightly floured surface

*press the dough down firmly with your hands & roll out until it’s about 2-3 cm thick

*Use any cutter of your choice to create shapes. The dough scraps can be gently together to cut out more shapes

*place all shapes onto a lightly floured surface or greased baking tray

*use milk to brush the on top on the dough shapes

* Bake for 20 min until brown / golden brown

Glaze

Let the scones cool down

Add icing sugar 3 tbs
1tsp lemon

Mixing use a sponge to drizzle on the scones
