Learning Watercolour with Fordee | Episode 007 | Hot Air Balloon [For Beginners]

Continuing with the prerecorded format with narration overdubbed, today we paint a Hot Air Balloon with a beautiful sky and city scape below using a reference photo which is shown at the end of the video. I switched to Arches paper and the better watercolour paper definitely makes a difference. In this video I'm using Rough Grain, but have also purchased Hot and Cold Press and will use those in future videos to find out what my preference is.

I didn't block out or leave blank the area for the hot air balloon, which is something most watercolour artists would have done, instead I used diluted white gouache as a base above the sky to add the water balloon... what do you think? Would have you done differently?
