Physical address, Logical address, Port address, and Specific address in networking | TechTerms
Internet employing TCP/IP protocol suite uses fours addresses - Physical address, Logical address, Port address, Specific address. The physical address is the permanent hardware-level address embedded in the Network Interface Card. Logical address is a 32-bit address written in the form of decimal numbers separated with dots. The address of a process is called port address. Email address, URL or Universal Resource Address are referred to as specific addresses.
