Panzer Tanks: Principal Weapon of Blitzkrieg

In September of 1939, Poland succumbed to German armored columns. It was the first time that Germany employed a combined arms surprise attack using a rapid, overwhelming force of armored formations supported by aircraft, and one of the main contributors to the success of that operation was the humble Panzer tank, the principal weapon of Blitzkrieg.
