The Future of Luxury is Invisible

The rules have changed; status is not bought with cash but earned through insider knowledge. Capital wealth can’t compete against the rise of luxury experiences which are experienced through insider exclusivity.

Culture and commerce have merged and today’s high velocity consumer is challenging current retail models. They are ever more demanding with new values and new rules, shifting the paradigm from exclusivity to inclusivity.
Luxury still has a price, but that price is about social currency, knowledge and access as opposed to just wealth. This session will help clarify what the future of aspirational branding looks like for the “New Luxury” landscape and how status today isn’t just about what you have, but about what you know.

About the Speaker

George Gottl was born in Los Angeles, California and is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of UXUS.

UXUS a pioneering global strategic design consultancy, producing revolutionary consumer experience environments for such clients as, McDonald’s, NIKE, Bloomingdale’s, Sephora, H&M, and Tate Modern, to name a few.

Before founding UXUS, George was the Apparel Creative Director at Nike and the Global Creative Director at Mandarina Duck.

George is considered a thought leader in consumer experience and has spoken at various prestigious conferences including Harvard-sponsored DMI Conference in New York, Microsoft-sponsored DMI Conference in Helsinki, La Roche University in Pittsburg, Amsterdam Fashion Institute and Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, among others.

He is a Graduate of Parsons School of Design, and was awarded a Silver Thimble for design excellence.
