1982 Catalina C27

Catalina 27 cruising sailboat is one of the most successful designs in small recreational keelboats. Over 6,600 were sold between 1971 and 1991. In 1992 Catalina 27 was replaced with Catalina 270, followed by the current model called Catalina 275 Sport in 2013.

This 1982 Catalina 27 sloop is a fiberglass keelboat rigged as a masthead sloop with tiller spade rudder and fixed fin keel for 4' shoal draft - perfect for bay sailing.

Strong solid fiberglass hull has no wood core, only the deck is cored. Designed for inland sailing, Catalina 27 cruisers have carried out globe circumnavigations and are a frequent sight in the Caribbean.

Sailing magazine reviewer John Kretschmer wrote:

"You don't buy a Catalina 27 for the craftsmanship, you buy it to have fun on the water ... One of the most surprising features of the 27 is how nicely it sails. The boat is fairly well balanced, and according to several owner reports, thrives upwind in moderate conditions. In heavy air the 27 is a bit tender and one owner suggests putting the first reef in the main at 12 knots." He concluded, "The Catalina 27 didn't become one of the most popular boats ever built without good reason. It offers good sailing, comfortable accommodations, one-design fleets and active owners groups."

Spacious and dry cabin sleeps five and features an enclosed pump-out head compartment, plenty of storage, 110 volt fridge and pressurized water sink. New stereo music system with speakers will help entertain your guests.

Auxiliary power is provided by a 30 HP Universal Atomic 4 inboard gas engine, recently serviced.
