Let's Play Game & Watch Gallery 2 #01: Parachute

Parachute was released in mid 1981 and was the first game in the Wide Screen collection. The gameplay has you attempting to catch people parachuting down in your boat. The challenge comes from correctly timing when the parachuting people correctly so you can avoid them falling into the shark infested waters below.

The modern version takes full advantage of the Game Boy Colour by presenting vibrant scenery as the backdrop for your rescue attempt. It also has more people on the screen at once who have differing times that they deploy their parachute. Another new element added into the mix is the cannon which toads on the righthand side of the screen can drift into. Finally, there's the fish lurking the depths which is both your adversary and potentail ally in saving your friends, provided you can get the timing right.
