Alright, first and foremost, We do have another record quarter in terms of deliveries. Although, the consensus used to be 316k vehicles, the recent shut down in Giga Shanghai pared with the supply shortages made it possible for the expectations to be trimmed down to 309k vehicles. This made it possible for Tesla to reflect a small beat to estimates coming in at 310k Vehicles. And with news of the reopening of Giga Shanghai, some of the short term negative e aspects of tesla's production has seen some relief this week.

But What about the Earnings?

Well, right off the bat, we can assume a higher selling price, which will result in slightly higher margins. Also, there were additional APEX expenses from q4 that will not be reflected in q1 earnings. This will improve the overall earnings compared to q4.

Let's begging with the average selling price. We could just use the previous selling average of last quarter, but since prices have increased so much, its best to calculate the average using 2022 data. We can break down the numbers by factory and model at it is currently being sold and NOT what customers paid months ago. This could give us a more accurate outcome.
