Urinary Incontinence with Dr. Dean Elterman

Urinary incontinence is a common side effect that many men encounter after prostate cancer treatment. Dr. Dean Elterman explains why this occurs, who it affects, and provides expert tips on how you can better manage and treat incontinence including pelvic floor rehabilitation, medication and surgery. Dr. Elterman will also cover risk factors for urinary incontinence and recovery time.

Speaker: Dr. Dean Elterman is a Urologist and Medical Director at the Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He has worked in the area of men’s health and survivorship at the Iris Cantor Men’s Health Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College and at the University of Toronto. Some of his current research interests include male health, voiding dysfunction and reconstruction including BPH, incontinence and sexual dysfunction (penile prosthetic surgery).
