A day with family at IKEA PHILIPPINES

IKEA PHILIPPINES is the largest IKEA store globally.

A quick tour of IKEA Philippines in Pasay with my family last March 24, 2022.

* SHOWROOM
- huge
- good reference if you saw something on their website that you like but are not sure about it

* MARKET HALL
- everything is self-service
- buy large or bulky items when you have your own vehicle
- we usually order large items like furnitures online to avoid the hassle
- well-organized

* SWEDISH RESTAURANT
- I highly recommend their signature meatballs (which comes with fruit jam - not sure how to call it and a small scoop of mashed potatoes), and roasted chicken. You might regret if you order others like their sour spaghetti, not so yummy spring rolls, etc. We have different tastes.. maybe you will like it but I've seen people going there the second time they only order meatballs and roasted chicken and never ordered the others I've mentioned again.
- Cakes are too sweet
- I recommend buying their soda in can.
- In the drinks area, you will see a machine with different kinds of drinks. The words may be foreign to some but those are PEPSI (regular and low/no sugar), and 7 up (called something like sparkling lemon or lemonade hehe). Drinking water is also available there if you find the one in tetra pack expensive or not enough to quench your thirst from walking around IKEA hehehe)
- French fries need improvement. You better order at S&R or other fast-food chains, they have better fries.
- Dispensing your own ice cream is a good experience, especially for kids. I am no longer thrilled since I experienced working as a service crew before. You have to be patient if you really wanted to try their ice cream because you need to queue at the counter for two tokens hehe. Instructions are indicated in the ice cream machine and it is easy to do. THE TASTE? It tastes like soya or mayonnaise. At first, I thought it was VANILLA, but it isn't. If you are okay with it, well that's fine. It is not sweet. I want my ice cream a little sweet hehehe.
