Car Hits Woman Near Bus Stand in Shivamogga, Driver Flees Spot

A woman sustained injuries in a hit-and-run incident after being knocked down by an unidentified car while crossing the road near the Anandapur bus stand in Sagar taluk of Shivamogga district.

According to reports, the accident took place near the busy bus stand area when the woman was attempting to cross the road. The unidentified vehicle allegedly hit her and fled the scene without stopping.

The entire incident was reportedly captured on nearby CCTV cameras, which are now expected to help police identify the vehicle and trace the driver involved.

Local residents rushed to the woman’s aid immediately after the accident and shifted her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Anandapur Police Station. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the hit-and-run incident.
