Hardest is obviously the hardest mode in the game and it's pretty silly.

Everything shoots tons more bullets in this mode and they also often have an extra new gimmick added to their attack patterns. The stage 1 and 4 bosses have some "interesting" additions to their patterns.
Besides that all the bullets are also replaced with bullets that are much harder to cancel with the shield.

This is pretty much a survival clear. It's fairly sloppy but this is the best known score so who cares I guess. Besides me only one other person ever beat this mode.

Scoring difference in Hardest is that the multiplier isn't limited to x20 but it's pretty hard to utilize this.
