Here’s a quick fix for your iPhone’s keyboard lag or slowness while typing on the iOS 26 update on any iPhone.

The first solution is to reset the keyboard dictionary. The iPhone keyboard dictionary learns and saves the words you type often to improve autocorrect and suggestions while adapting to your personal typing style.

Go to the Settings app, scroll to General, then scroll down to the Transfer or Reset iPhone option. Tap on Reset, and then choose Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

Enter your iPhone lock screen passcode and verify it to reset the dictionary.

That’s it. Check your iPhone and reboot once. Hope this fixes your problem.

Still not working? Then move to the next solution. Turn off the Slow Keys option if it’s on, and then force restart your iPhone.

Go to the Settings app, scroll to Accessibility, and under Keyboard and Typing, tap on Slow Keys and turn off the toggle.

That’s it. Now hard reboot to apply the change by quickly pressing and releasing the volume up button, then the volume down button, and finally, press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

Enter your lock screen passcode and check if the issue’s fixed.
