JUNGLE HIKING 🌿 TIOMAN ISLAND, MALAYSIA

My first real day on Tioman Island. After a workout on the beach with my new pal Merel I headed down to the dive shop to (apprehensively) book my Open Water diving course. After this I headed down a couple of villages in order to start a hike through the dense forest of the island to get to a beach on the other side. After a great walk through the jungle seeing monkeys and various other creatures (as well as my stomach deciding it was an appropriate time to give me some trouble) I ended up at Juara, where I was aiming for. It was quiet due to the fact the weather wasn’t great, it was the end of the season, and those who were on the island mostly dive in the days. This meant I could have the entire beach to myself. Unfortunately it began to rain and I couldn’t find other means of getting back to where I was staying so I was forced to walk. Great day!
