This is a steep hike through a lush green forest. It's the beginning of fall so the air is crisp and clean. The trail switchbacks were a little challenging for the legs and lungs, but the energy from the forest sustains. The quiet, calm and peaceful hiking trail is beautiful and serene. The recent rain has made the forest seem more green and vibrant looking. The payoff at the top is a beautiful view across the Chilliwack River Valley and up Centre Creek which climbs south towards the U.S.A. border. It's a great day to be out getting dirty boots.
