Year after beating COVID – nurse sends hospital thank you letter

Bessy Angue was a nurse at MountainView hospital in Las Vegas when she contracted COVID19. Bessy came to Southern Hills Hospital for treatment and quickly deteriorated. For months, her doctors and nurses weren’t sure if she was going to make it. ICU nurse Arlice reflects on how difficult it was caring for another nurse and the pressures she felt to save Bessy. Bessy made a miraculous recovery and was discharged in May 2020. Bessy’s story was shared around the country as a story of survival and hope for our frontline workers. Just recently, she sent Southern Hills a letter thanking them for their care.
