This was transferred from a VHS that has been stored since 1991. Jan had a very wonderful film career including acting in TV shows like Dragnet, Frontier, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, Broken Arrow, Trackdown, Casey Jones, Zane Grey Theatre, Tombstone Territory, The Lawless Years, The Rough Riders, Bat Masterson, The Tall Man, Whispering Smith (with Audie Murphy) Perry Mason, Bonanza, Tales of Wells Fargo, Rawhide, Laramie, The Virginian, The Travels of Jamie McPheeters, (with Kurt Russel), The Man from U.N.C.L.E., 12 O'Clock High, Combat, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Mission Impossible and 61 episode of Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. Just to name a few. Jan also had major rolls in many motion picture movies. Jans acting rolls that he really stood out in are those where he plays the villain. Jan also wrote 690 episodes of the Soap Opera Another World from 1973 through 1975. Jan and Mary discuss Jans career and The First Festival of the West scheduled to happen in Scottsdale Arizona at Rawhide Western Town in April of 1991. Mary and her husband Jim and a group of volunteers put this festival together and they must have been very apprehensive and excited about the very first one. The Festival of the West became a huge success and Mary and Jim would be in charge of it for 20 years. They did a magnificent job and we at Westerns On The Web are honored that they would trust us with their video archives.
