For the past few months, I’ve using my platform to shine a light on a case that should’ve never happened — the wrongful conviction of Eddie O’Brien, locked up since he was 15 years old back in 1996.

Let that sink in.

Thrown into a maximum‑security prison before he even learned how to drive.

And here’s the part they never want to talk about:

- They only tested Eddie’s DNA.
- There was DNA at the scene that did NOT belong to Eddie.
- They built a conviction on fear, politics, and assumptions — not proof.

Thirty years later, Eddie has been a model inmate.
Not a single act of violence.
Not a single disciplinary issue.
A man who grew up behind bars but never lost his humanity.
