Build Your Own Breath Alcohol Detector with Arduino! | MQ3 Breathalyzer Project

In this video, we build an Alcohol Detection System (Breathalyzer) using Arduino and the MQ-3 alcohol sensor. This project detects alcohol present in human breath and displays the result on a 16x2 I2C LCD.

Components Used:
• Arduino Uno
• MQ-3 Alcohol Sensor
• 16x2 LCD with I2C module
• Buzzer
• Red LED
• Green LED
• Breadboard and jumper wires

How it works:
When a person blows air toward the MQ-3 sensor, the sensor detects ethanol vapor in the breath. If the alcohol level crosses a set threshold, the system triggers a buzzer and red LED while displaying "Alcohol Detected" on the LCD. If no alcohol is detected, the green LED turns on and the display shows "Safe".

This project is useful for:
• Drunk driving detection systems
• Engineering and Arduino projects
• Breath alcohol monitoring

For Better accuracy let the sensor turn on and wait for 20-40 secs
