"The Great One", Jackie Gleason interviewed by Morley Safer in 1984

From my collection of off-the-air recordings that I made on VHS cassettes, starting in 1980. This informative and entertaining interview originally aired on October 28, 1984. Except for Morley Safer's introduction, my recording was made when the interview was rebroadcast on May 31, 1987. It covers Gleason's humble beginning in show business and his career in television and films. Also discussed are his lifestyle and his hopes to meet a forgiving God in Heaven. There was a major glitch in my recording, which I covered with two screenshots.
