Mechagodzilla Evolution (1974-2024)

From its 1974 debut to the formidable 2021 Monsterverse version. Mechagodzilla, initially created by aliens, saved the Godzilla franchise. Over the years, it transformed from a man-in-suit villain to a UN weapon (Heisei era) and even a hero defending Godzilla Island. In 2002, Kiryu emerged, built around the original Godzilla's bones. The Ready Player One adaptation showcased a custom Mechagodzilla. Anime appearances (2017, 2018) revealed futuristic designs, and the 2021 Godzilla vs. Kong Monsterverse version featured a CGI Mechagodzilla with advanced weaponry, including a tail drill.
