Music

If a melody, a rhythm and a poem call me to the piano, it is Grace who kisseth me and adoreth me, and through Her tender mercy a poor fool and a beggar such as myself is lifted onto the wings of love, and not I but the Christ in me becomes a song.

The Mother of Love and the Holy Dove… the author and the messenger… immerse me in Grace, if only for a few moments, and from the ether a knowingness is borne in my soul; a certainty that God is Love, and Love is God, and that all will be well.

We are made of music, and so sacred song becomes our divine sanctuary. Through song we turn into prayer. It is God who sings us softly. Humanity is God’s ballad, His hymn of creation, His lullaby… His dance of devotion.

This song was filmed in a shack in Solymár, just outside Budapest, Hungary, where the Via Mária pilgrimage route runs from Austria to Romania, and at the Adventi Mária-kiállitás (the Mary Exhibition) which ran in the city centre, during advent. This is the acoustic, piano version of ’State of grace’. Another more orchestrated version also appears on this album, and another video of this version exists, filmed with Asha at a grand piano.
