How does this work?
The Chicago Spiritwave Whisper Box is an analog instrument wonder, incorporating several ITC theory design elements into a handheld device. An internal noise generator, Tesla coil conduit, mono-switchable echo channels, omnidirectional electret microphones, two 3/4” front-mounted speakers, and two sets of unbalanced outputs deliver an absolutely unprecedented open-system analog direct voice ITC instrument.
The Whisper Box offers a vast array of setup combinations to suit the operator’s personal preference or desired source material. Nine distinct modes plus the system standby setting will be explored during the ten livestream installments. The Zero-Gain Stall will utilize digital signal processing, adaptive filtering, and signal focusing to uncover potential intelligent trans-communication from the source material created by the Whisper Box modes listed below:

What are you listening for specifically?
Quiet and medium-loud to loud whispers are immediately apparent in system standby. Whispered sentences and quiet talking can be heard at -18dB below full scale, with some whispered phrasing reaching a staggering 0dBFS at times. Depending on Tesla coil activation and constructive interference, full tonal vocal responses can be heard at all decibel levels.
Why does the Whisper Box “Whisper?”
Utilizing knowledge gained from sensitive microvolt/millivolt pressure wave and electrical current research, the Whisper Box’s inherent circuit design embodies applicable scientific principles outlining current working theories in Instrumental Trans-Communication.
Through my measurements, research, analysis, and interpretation, I have concluded the Whisper Box creates a “phase equilibrium state” within its analog circuitry, and more often, a lack thereof. This results in moments of constructive and destructive interference perceived by the ITC operator. As the Whisper Box largely exhibits destructive sound wave interference, it lacks the ability (at times) to produce a fundamental frequency which is necessary for pure tone vocal speech. Due to the lack of energy and vibration necessary to produce pure tone vocal speech, intelligent trans-communication populates as flat spectral whispering between 500 Hz - 6kHz.
