The 2019 Honda CBR 650 R is a good looking bike and has the go to match the show. However, the stock exhaust just does not cut it - it sounds too tame, too mild. Well, that’s what the owner of this particular bike thought and wanted a bit more bark from the exhaust.

The solution: Getting one of the best slip-ons available for it on the planet.

Enter Austin Racing.

This specialised UK brand is one of the most premium looking and arguably the best sounding exhaust in the business. Well, it was founded by a musician, but this is not the time or the place for a trivia session.

Most modern bikes now come with a huge collector box with a catalytic converter (cat) inside due to stringent emission norms, and these collector boxes are welded to the header pipes. So installing a slip-on exhaust is not all that simple anymore if you want to de-cat your bike.

The headers and the collector box need to be separated by cutting them apart.
