Rescue the puppy from the mistreatment of the gambling and drunk man

We were sent by a YouTube channel subscriber to a video about a man who is often drunk and gambling. Every time he loses, he drinks and beats the puppy. The neighbors around were so scared of him, so they didn't dare do anything. In our country there is no animal protection law so it is not possible to alert the police. We went to his house to ask for the dog back, but received his mockery. Then we angered him and he demanded to beat us. In the end we had to wait for him to go out and sneak inside the house to steal the poor little dog.
