Angular 21 introduces a new file naming option that lets you create projects using the older 2016 style guide for file names. This means your components, services, directives, and other files get the classic suffixes like 'app.component.ts' and 'user.service.ts'.

The setting also makes sure future 'ng generate' commands follow the same naming style, while class names and selectors stay clean.
