The 14,000-square-foot Italian Renaissance home sits on about 1.6 acres and is located in the Hancock Park neighborhood of L.A.

Filled with architectural details, the early 20th century house was designed by famous architect, John C. Austin, who is known for his work on the Griffith Observatory. Carefully maintained details include original stone fireplaces, according to The Wall Street Journal, and stained glass windows made by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

The home has a spacious kitchen and formal dining room, as well as seven bathrooms and nine bedrooms. Outside are luscious grounds, a pool and a large guest house with an additional bedroom and full bath.

According to the Journal, in 2004, Ali reached out to the current owners of the home (who bought it in 2001 for $2.5 million) and asked if he could come see it. The owners told the Journal after he went off to look around, they found him taking a nap on a chaise by the pool out back.
