How To Weld With Flux Core

This was done on a Habor Freight 90 amp AC flux core welder. Pretty awesome machines for the price. This is one of my older videos but the info is good and it's now part of this channel. I tried my best at capturing the look of the weld and slag formation so the beginner could better understand what is really going on under the hood, something not easily seen by the untrained eye.

Tips
For those of you who are having a hard time looking at the weld under the hood, make sure that your lenses are clean and if all else fails then try having your eyes checked by a doctor. In my case, I was able to get a better and clearer view after getting glasses.

Anti Spatter spray also helps with keeping the annoying little spatter off your project and makes clean up much better when using an AC welder, not so much of an issue with DC welders.

General Use Flux Core is only good for single pass, Lincoln NR211 is highly recommended for the beginner, and also available at most home improvement stores ( big box stores). Lincoln NR211 is Multiple Pass wire which means you can lay a bead on top of itself without worries of slag inclusion.

Thanks for watching!
