Number 10: Ornithomimosaur

Though more commonly known as Ornithomimids, these creatures are the Usain Bolts amongst all dinosaurs. If there was an Olympic version for dinosaurs, they will definitely win the gold medal as the fastest dinosaur ever!

Ornithomimids resemble the modern-day ostrich weighing as much as your motorcycle. And they belong to a class of dinosaurs called Theropods that lived about 75 million years ago.

You will not but notice such big eyes they have alongside their long necks coupled with toothless beaks and feathers. And just like ostriches, they can only run fast but can't fly.

Another fascinating fact about them is their ability to feed on both plants and animals, although their primary diet is still a mystery.

This feeding habit makes Ornithomimids one of the only known omnivorous dinosaurs. What fascinating beings, don't you think?

These creatures bore powerful limbs shaped like hoofs, hence the speed. They could run twice as fast as the world's fastest man. And that's just mind-blowing!

Number 9: Argentinosaurus

Well, not so tough to know where that name stemmed from, is it? Fossils of Argentinosaurus were first discovered in 1987 by a farmer in Plaza Huincul, Argentina.

Argentinosaurus earned their place as one of the most incredible dinosaurs known to man by being the largest dinosaurs of all time. They are also one of the largest land animals ever to exist, in league with their water counterpart, the Blue Whale.

They belong to a group of dinosaurs called the Titanosaurus. An Argentinosaurus is about one-eighth the size of the renowned Titanic ship. Magnificent, don't you think?

These dinosaurs existed about 96 million years ago and may have a height up to that of a seven-storeyed building. Now, that's just cool!

We don't really know their exact weight due to the unavailability of a full Argentinosaurus skeleton. But what we do know is that they might weigh about the mass of twenty elephants put together. That's quite heavy!

They were so gigantic that paleontologists thought that it must take about 40 years to attain such a size from the juvenile.

Argentinosaurus walks on four legs and probably had long necks. Another incredible fact about them: no one really knows how they held their necks, but they must have had a very massive heart to support such a body.

And one more thing to their profile, they were rather slow!

Today, you can't visit a renowned museum without seeing the fossil remains of a diplodocus. They are just too famous. And that prominence is owed to the gifts from Andrew Carnegie, who financed many expeditions on dinosaur exploration.

Diplodocus dinosaurs are incredibly the most easily recognizable among others, owing to their very long neck, in the Jurassic world. And that neck is about the whole length of a full-grown giraffe!

Don't you want to know about their height too? Well, when measured from head to tail, they are taller than the White House and weigh as much as a large truck. Now that's the true definition of amazing!

They are one of the most slender dinosaurs that never cease to grow all their life which existed about 152 million years ago. Their long whip-like tail helps to keep the body stable. And their back legs are more extended than the ones in the front.
