What if God took your place in the most binding promise ever made?

In Genesis 15, Abraham prepared a covenant ceremony—cutting animals in half as a sign of life-or-death commitment. Normally, the weaker party would walk through the pieces, saying "If I break this promise, do to me what was done to these animals." But here's the wonder: God put Abraham to sleep and walked through the pieces Himself. God took the place of the one who would fail.

Fast forward to Jesus breaking bread: "This is my body given for you...the blood of the new covenant." When we broke the covenant, Jesus was cut off on the cross so we could be declared right with God. Not through our good works or perfect faith, but through believing in Him. Abraham struggled with doubt and made mistakes, yet God credited him with righteousness because of his faith.

God's salvation is his free gift, through faith alone. The cross is enough—it always has been, and it always will be.
