Foster Care Update & First Placement (Surprise!!)

Update to our foster care and adoption journey.

Becoming a foster parent and receiving your first place is a bittersweet yet exciting moment. Bittersweet in that you know that the kiddo(s) are not with their families and may feel scared, sad, angry, and a host of other emotions.

It is exciting in that you are open and available to provide a warm, safe, and loving environment for the child(ren) while they wait on the adults in their lives to sort out the details and make arrangements for them to return.
