Crowded House - At the Ritz (pitch-corrected & remastered)

Crowded House performed at The Ritz in New York City on 11/26/91 as part of their Woodface tour. The concert was broadcast live on the radio, and subsequently sold as a grey market bootleg on CD. The bootleg is far from pristine, in fact it sounds like it was sourced from a third-generation cassette recording. As well, most of the songs were sped up -- presumably so it would all fit on a 74-minute CD -- making them too fast and out of key with a slight chipmunk effect. This is a pity because it's a fantastic show with the band in peak form, both musically and their on-stage banter and chemistry. This version has been pitch-corrected so that everything is in the appropriate key and speed. The original bootleg is quite dark and flat sounding, so the tone and dynamics have been adjusted to sound a bit more balanced and punchy and listenable. While it's still pretty "lo-fi" in quality you can hear what's going on very well and it's great fun to listen to.
