Daniel Penny honored with Semper Fidelis Award for bravery

Marine veteran Daniel Penny has been honored with the prestigious Semper Fidelis Award for his bravery on a New York City subway.

Recently acquitted in a high profile manslaughter case, Penny was recognized by the Marine Corps League at Iwo Jima Day in Boston for his actions defending subway passengers.

Alongside him, his attorneys Thomas Kenneth and Steve Racer were also awarded for their role in his defense.

The case centered around Penny's actions on May 1st, 2023, when he restrained Jordan Neely during what witnesses described as a threatening outburst.
