Foam rolling works, but not the way you think
Foam rolling will not make you more flexible or break up scar tissue, but it is a very effective way to increase blood flow to metabolically slow areas and relieve resting muscle tension. Foam rolling or any type of myofascial work should be a very short part of your exercise routine - like 5 minutes - and not a dedicated practice.
