SPOKEN WORD: "True Love" ❤ #poetry #spokenword

I was searching for love in all the wrong places

Seeking for attention from men and from women

Exposing my heart just for it to be broken

Ignored my own conscious and was lead by my emotions

Sharing my body with those who took me for granted

Because all I wanted was to be accepted

Void of true love, I felt depleted

Voices in my head telling me I was defeated

Burdened by the weight of all my sins

Cried out to "JESUS" to let me in.

In my despair, I prayed to God

In His response, He sent me His Son

I never knew a love quite like His

He transformed my heart from deep within

I couldn't stop weeping tears of repentance

And in a small voice, He says "your sins are forgiven".

I was never the same after that day

All because I called upon His beautiful name.
