Some background context on the Kiara being a 'kouhai' bit:
About a day ago Kiara got her channel terminated for no apparent reason due to the YT AI being a little silly. Once Kiara got her channel back, there was a bit of a meme going around that she was part of HoloEN Gen 2 and hence the kouhai of HoloID Gen 2. There was some joking around on that matter on Twitter between Kiara and the HoloID Gen 2 girls.

The apology here is likely to make it so that SOME people won't rage and go "SHE IS YOUR SENPAI NOT YOUR KOUHAI REEEEEE"
