The BMW community is full of individuals upgrading their cars and often swapping in different engines from different chassis. I give my thoughts on the best engine swaps you can do in your BMW. My personal swapped cars: E46 330 Swapped Wagon/Touring, E46 S54 Swapped Sedan, and LS3 Swapped E46 Sedan. The best swap is the one that meets all of your needs and goals for your car. The S54 is the best swap for purists who want more power in their older BMW. The S54 has a lot of aftermarket forced induction options for more power as well along with the ability to use factory electronics to make it standalone. LS engines have always been swapped in to any make and model and rightfully so. They are available by the dozen and have so many aftermarket components available to make them standalone. There are so many variations and they are cheap and easy to modify. Feel free to comment down below if you would like for me to go more in depth with a specific swap into a specific car.
