'Georgia to determine if the US will become a socialist country': Trump

Control of the United States Senate and therefore control of the country is at the heart of the Georgia Senate election, President Donald Trump told a large crowd during a rally for Republican Senators.

The president returned to the campaign trail today in support of Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler who face January run-off elections.

“The voters of Georgia will determine which party runs every committee, writes every piece of legislature, controls every single tax-payer dollar, Mr Trump said.

“Very simply you will decide whether your children grow up in a socialist country or whether you grow up in a free country”.

“Socialism is just the beginning for these people.”

Mr Trump said “David and Kelly are running against radical John Ossoff and Raphael Warnock”

“Ossoff and Warnock are the two most extreme, far left candidates in the history of our country."
