IL BIPA Law | Driver Facing Cameras under fire | Trucking Answers

I have been contacted by a law firm to help them try to find drivers who may have a driver facing camera but the company is not complying with the BIPA law in Illinois. Is this you? You could be driving for any trucking company as long as at least some of the time you drive to or through Illinois. You also need to be an Illinois resident. Your truck needs to have a driver facing camera. The law firm believes that many trucking companies are not in compliance with the law. The statue states up to a $1000 fine and the law firm believes that is per day. They would like to talk to drivers about this. No result is guaranteed. Remember, no change happens unless someone takes action. If you meet the criteria please talk to them. There is no obligation and no cost to you. They only get paid if they take a case and win.
