Tesla Giga Berlin's New Situation as Critics Applied for 4th Discussion

Tesla critics want another round of discussions to cover their Giga Berlin complaints.

The third round of online discussions of critics against Tesla Giga Berlin just ended on Monday and we are all hoping that soon the final approval will come and Tesla will start the Giga Berlin mass production. But now environmental associations in Brandenburg are calling for a new public interpretation of the Tesla application for the plant. They criticize, among other things, that some parts of the discussion were no longer blackened out, and some documents and additional requests were missing. On Tuesday, these sentiments were expressed in a joint statement from the Nabu, BUND, Green League, and NaturFreunde.

According to the Ministry of the Environment, everyone has the opportunity to submit an application for access to environmental information to the licensing authority in order to inspect documents received later. The documents that are still outstanding are statements from the authorities and preliminary work by Tesla in the area of ​​immission control and water law, which is necessary for a final decision on Giga Berlin by the licensing authority.

Allo, two days ago the RBB reported that the state office was waiting for further documents.

With the end of the Giga Berlin's critics' discussion, the time of the decision on the approval for the first Tesla factory in Europe by the country draws nearer. However, the objections against Tesla Giga Berlin must first be evaluated.

The Ministry of the Environment has not yet been able to predict how long this will take. The information from Tesla in the application is therefore compared with the legal requirements. If the authority is convinced that these requirements are being met, the final permit for the Giga Berlin factory can be issued to Tesla. If this is not the case, the authority can impose conditions against Tesla Giga Berlin. If the requirements are not met, the application will be rejected, as the ministry said.
