Meeting Japan’s bowing deer

The wild deer that roam the ancient Japanese city of Nara (about 30min by train from the Osaka central) are not only calm and accustomed to the many tourists roaming their city, they also politely bow and wait to be fed “deer-crackers” that can be bought in Nara Park.

The park is home to over a thousand Sika deer.
