Having one of our bikes back has been a very good thing for me. To be able to take off on the bike for a short time to allow my heart and mind to recenter is a gift. Especially when Aly is away on long business trips, like he was this past week, and the feeling of isolation becomes intense. I am beginning to build friendships here, but like all good things, those take time to grow.

While riding earlier this week I figured out a few things. First, I need about 5 more days of a motorcycle road trip, so it is time to start planning them. And second, I need to be more proactive about my fitness, because I was very lax this week. After riding a 200+ mile day, something that should be easy, I was tired! I need to rebuild my stamina. For someone who use to love the gym and fitness, I am finding myself significantly burned out there. I want that passion and desire back, yet I cannot find the joy again there. Have you ever been in that place where you have lost the passion for something that you use to love? Did you get it back? If so, how?
