Detroit mom gets 3-15 years in prison for drunk driving crash that killed 3-year-old son
A Detroit woman was sentenced to 3-15 years in prison in a drunk driving crash that killed her 3-year-old son. The crash occurred in August 2018.

Charlessia Pelt pleaded guilty to charges of operating while intoxicated and causing the death of her son, 3-year-old Michael Jones.
On Aug. 9, she was driving eastbound on East Seven Mile Road in the wrong direction when she ran a red light and hit a car that was going north on Hayes.
A witness said he saw the 3-year-old fly out of the van while still in his car seat.
