Carleton College Young Alumni Outcomes | Cristina Camarillo ’23

“As soon as I found out about Carleton, I was in love with the school. Its interdisciplinary approach is something that I use everyday. When you’re working with community, not everyone thinks the exact same way; we looked at everything from every different angle at Carleton.”

Cristina Camarillo ’23 studied sociology/anthropology and history at Carleton. Now a policy analyst for the City of Houston, she works with Council Member Joaquin Martinez on research and community engagement, figuring out what’s going on in their neighborhoods and how they can help make local government more accessible.

We were curious to see what a few of our Carleton Young Alumni were up to nowadays. No surprise — they’re doing amazing things! Check out our Young Alumni playlist on the Carleton YouTube channel for a sampling of Carls with careers spanning all kinds of professional fields. C’YA out there!
