Reliving a memorable DIxboro, MI hamlet reunion of families and friends (2013)

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood of which Mr. Rogers would be proud. An advance celebration of the burg's 200th birthday in 2024. The Troop 30 Boy Scout Cabin on the Village Green on Church Road at Short Street, three miles east from Ann Arbor via Plymouth Road, was saved from oblivion by long-time residents Ed and Chris Martin and loyal compatriots, proud of the heritage of the community. The Cabin was set for demolition (reassembled in 1933 and showing its age). It's a heart-warming story of people-helping-people who celebrated its move to a new location with a joyful reunion under warm sunny skies . (July 27, 2013), In short, a joint expression of their love of the historic, rural community in Superior Township of a centennial-plus church, a red-brick school house,, a convenient country store and the warmth of the residents past-and-present who live in homes-by-the-side of the road.
