This was my first time to Skytree!! I live in Minato-ku, Tokyo and only see Tokyo Tower on a daily basis so visiting Tokyo Skytree was like visiting a completely new territory for me lol. Skytree is located in the east bank of Sumida River which is an area we call 'Shikamachi (下町)' where tons of local food stalls and family own shops are concentrated. The old-school and homey ambiance was relaxing to stroll through :)

With entry restrictions in place, we were extremely fortunate not to experience long lines or crowds. We were also super lucky to go on this perfect day! The previous day was very cloudy and gloomy but there wasn't a cloud in sight when we visited! You could see Mt Fuji clearly and the sparkles on the surface of the rivers running towards the inner city were gorgeous.

We enjoyed lunch at Sky Restaurant 634 (‘musashi’) and the food was incredible! I left the menu below. The concept of the restaurant and Skytree itself is the fusion of ‘modern’ and ‘traditional Japanese’. The plates used were also incredible. They are all made by Japanese craftsman using traditional pottery methods. Hope you can see the details in the plates.
