A common mistake guys make when installing Trane :(

This was a no heat call in December 2020 on a 2 year old Trane with a Tam9 air handler and a Xr16 heat pump. Outdoor board had 4 red flashes (hard lockout). After visually inspecting filters, coils, etc. I power cycled and unit ran normal. However when air handler turned off, outdoor unit continued to run which caused the pressures to rise far enough to trip the high head pressure switch. I checked the installation low voltage wiring and found it wasn't done according to Trane specs. After I corrected and function checked, normal operations resumed. Very important to remember to read installation instructions( boring I know but it will save you issues in the future) because Trane does install with different specs than most other brands.
