GALANTT - MONGREL

Inspiração: Esta é uma música sobre miscigenação.

Nome em português (tradução livre): Vira-Latas*

Esta é a quarta faixa do álbum "Cru", do meu projeto instrumental "Galantt".

* O termo "vira-latas" é constantemente usado em diferentes culturas como algo pejorativo/ofensivo, uma vez que é usado para designar animais de rua, os quais são (erroneamente) associados à futilidade e sujeira, e que geralmente não possuem raça definida (já que sua árvore genealógica pode ser tão diversificada). CONTUDO, como bem sabemos, estes animais de raça não definida são seres maravilhosos, cheios de amor, e que devido à sua diversidade genética (devido à miscigenação) mostram extraordinária resistência à vasta gama de doenças que normalmente assolam sua espécie, bem como geralmente apresentam longevidade diferenciada. OU SEJA, considerando este ponto de vista, vemos que, na verdade, há uma série de bons aspectos que podemos associar ao termo "vira-latas".
Embora imbecis ignorantes, conservadores e racistas tentem associar a miscigenação a algo negativo, a Ciência nos mostra constantemente o quão este fenômeno é incrível, e é um dos maiores responsáveis pela sobrevivência de nossa espécie neste planeta.
Ao fazer um paralelo com a Arte, vemos que a miscigenação neste contexto também é algo incrível, ou seja, quando nos damos a liberdade de quebrar as barreiras entre diferentes estilos e/ou movimentos somos capazes de criar novas e belas formas de nos expressar!
Esta música aqui foi minha primeira composição instrumental, minha primeira experiência criando arranjos para o baixo (logo, o solo de baixo aqui foi o primeiro que já fiz), e é uma música que traz em seu DNA os genes de tantos estilos que, embora seja simples, acaba por ser um representante interessante dessa miscigenação musical (a qual sempre guia meu processo criativo).

Inspiration: This is a song about miscegenation.
This is the fourth track on the album "Cru", from my instrumental project "Galantt".

*The term "mongrel" is constantly used in different cultures as something pejorative/offensive, as it is used to designate stray animals, which are (mistakenly) associated with futility and dirt, and which are generally mixed-breed (since it family tree can be so diverse). HOWEVER, as we well know, these animals are wonderful beings, full of love, and that due to their genetic diversity (due to miscegenation) show extraordinary resistance to the wide range of diseases that normally plague their species, as well as generally presenting differentiated longevity. THEREFORE, considering this point of view, it's clear that, in fact, there are several good aspects that we can associate with the term "mongrel".
Although ignorant, conservative and racist idiots try to claim that miscegenation is a bad thing, Science constantly shows us how incredible this phenomenon is, and is one of the biggest responsible for the survival of our species on this planet.
By making an analogy with Art, we see that 'miscegenation' in this context is also something incredible! When we give ourselves the freedom to break the barriers between different styles and/or movements, we are able to create new and beautiful ways of expressing ourselves!
This song here was my first instrumental composition, my first experience creating arrangements for the bass (so the bass solo here was the first I ever did), and it's a song that carries in its DNA the genes of various styles. Although it is so simple, it turns out to be an interesting representant of this musical miscegenation (which always guides my creative process).
