5 Reasons Cancelled Amex Gold
The American Express Gold Card is one of the most popular cards in the points-and-miles hobby — often called the food card thanks to its huge multipliers on dining and groceries. With 4X on dining, 4X on U.S. supermarkets, and useful food-related credits, it’s easy to see why people love it.
But despite its strengths, I recently canceled mine. In this video, I’ll break down the five reasons why — including the annual fee, tricky credits, transfer partners, cheaper alternatives, and the need to free up an Amex slot.
