Scared Hyena Takes Shelter In A Culvert, Rescued And Released

Each rescue that the Wildlife SOS team conducts is unique and comes with its own risks and challenges. In a recent incident, our team along with the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department rushed to the rescue of a Striped Hyena, which was trapped in a narrow culvert after being chased by panic-stricken villagers.

After careful planning, the teams blocked one of the culvert openings and placed the transport cage on the other end. The 6-year-old male Hyena finally emerged after two hours and was kept under medical observation. Once deemed fit, our team members released the animal back into its natural habitat.
